Many a times the question comes to the mind, why blogger, why not some other blogging site ?
Here are some of the advantages and disadvantages of using it.

First of all, blogger is a free weblog publishing tool from Google, for sharing text, photos and video.It was created by Pyra Labs, which was bought by Google in 2003. Generally, the blogs are hosted by Google at a subdomain of blogspot.com.

You can host the classic blogger on your own domain.
There is plenty of support for those just starting out as well as those who want to make more complicated changes
My blogspot blog was ranked quickly by Google.
Blogger was voted the ‘Best Weblog Tool’ in the 2006 Weblog Awards
Also has a reading list facility where you may keep track on your favorite blogs

Finally it is linked with your google account which makes it easier to access

Number of labels = 5,000 unique labels per blog, 20 unique labels per post
Number of pictures = more than 1 GB of free storage
Size of pictures = If posted via Blogger Mobile, limited 300 KB per picture; posted pictures are scaled to 800px
Team members (those that can write to a blog) = 100
Stand-Alone Page = Limited to 20 stand-alone pages
